Voice recognition technology AmiVoice® adopted in Yokosuka city demonstration experiment “AI Consultation Partner”

Advanced Media Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Toshima-ku, Tokyo; Chairman and President: Kiyoyuki Suzuki; hereinafter referred to as "Advanced Media")'s voice recognition technology AmiVoice and voice recognition microphone terminal have been demonstrated in Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Experiment, local government consultation support service “AI Consultation Partner”^*” was adopted.

"AI Consultation Partner" is a service developed and provided by Mitsubishi Research Institute, Inc. (Representative Director and President: Takashi Morisaki, hereinafter referred to as MRI) and INES Co., Ltd. (Representative Director and President: Koichi Yoshimura, hereinafter referred to as INES). Using AI (artificial intelligence) technology such as voice recognition and data analysis, we support local government officials who receive consultations for residents, such as child-rearing consultations and consultations for people in need. It can be used under the LGWAN (General Government Network) environment, and can be used for face-to-face consultations, telephone consultations, and home-visit consultations.

This time, voice recognition technology AmiVoice has been adopted to transcribe conversations between counselors and staff at "AI Consultation Partner." AmiVoice is a speech recognition engine that is strong in Japanese conversations and achieves high accuracy and high speed using know-how and data accumulated over 20 years. It implements the latest deep learning technology and boasts a high recognition rate.

For recording audio, we use the "AmiVoice Front ST01" super-directional stand microphone dedicated to voice recognition that can record clear audio even through a mask or acrylic board, the "AmiVoice Front FF2" small 01-channel microphone for face-to-face use, and 2-channel stereo recording. <Overview of the “AI Consultation Partner” demonstration experiment with Yokosuka City>

Against the backdrop of the emergence of a super-aging society, the occurrence of natural disasters, and even the coronavirus pandemic, there is an increasing need for consultation from residents with the government. The burden on local government employees engaged in consultation services continues to increase, and a drastic solution is needed as soon as possible.

In local government consultation services for residents, we aim to ``reduce the operational burden on staff (especially record preparation work),'' ``realize a seamless consultation response in all aspects of welfare work,'' and ``homogenize staff counseling skills and pass on know-how.'' There are issues such as ``data utilization for trend and predictive analysis in general welfare work.''

To solve these issues, Yokosuka City is conducting the following demonstration experiment using an "AI consultation partner."
