Advanced Media has developed AmiVoice, a Japanese continuous speech recognition system using its own technology, and has provided various solutions that allow users to input text by voice. In particular, in the medical field, the voice input system for creating radiological image diagnostic reports has been introduced in over 100 facilities, contributing to the efficiency of creating medical diagnostic reports.
Until now, practical continuous speech recognition has been limited to speech that is primarily written, and it has been difficult to recognize naturally uttered speech, such as that occurring during a meeting. Therefore, Advanced Media developed a speech recognition system for meetings based on the 2002 Creative Technology Research and Development Project of the Kanto Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry, and expanded and developed it to commercialize the meeting minutes creation support system "AmiVoice Rewriter Plus."
"AmiVoice Rewriter Plus" recognizes speech from multiple speakers in a meeting and converts it into text. When editing, you can transcribe efficiently by simply correcting any misrecognitions while listening to the audio. AmiVoice Rewriter Plus is made up of AmiVoice Recorder, which records and recognizes voice, and AmiVoice Rewriter, which transcribes and edits, and has the following features:

従来、1時間の音声テープの書き起しには6時間必要とされていましたが、本システムを用いることにより、2倍から3倍の効率化が図れます。効率化の程度は音声認識精度に依存しますが、88%の認識精度の講演タイプの会議で2.2時間、66%の認識率の委員会タイプの会議で2.7時間、60%の認識率の社内会議で約3.6時間で書き起しが終了するという結果が得られています。
"AmiVoice Rewriter Plus" is scheduled to ship on August 8st, and can be used for creating minutes for local government councils and private company meetings, converting voice logs into text at call centers, and subtitling and indexing broadcast content. Pricing is expected to start from 1 million yen for the minimum configuration for each purpose. The actual system implementation will be customized for each user's system and provided as a total solution. The goal is to ship 200 million yen by the end of fiscal year 2003.
