Advanced Media has developed AmiVoice, a Japanese continuous speech recognition system using its own technology, and has offered various solutions that allow users to input text by voice. In the medical field in particular, the system has been introduced in over 150 facilities, contributing to the efficiency of medical diagnosis. The product being announced this time, "AmiVoice Assist," utilizes this technology to improve the efficiency of call center operations.
Conventionally, the mainstream use of voice recognition in call centers has been a system that asks users who call the call center to input voice using an IVR (voice response device), recognizes the voice, and routes the call to an operator or performs an automatic response. In contrast, "AmiVoice Assist" monitors the operator's speech during a conversation between the call center user and the operator, performs voice recognition, and automatically displays related information on the operator's screen when a pre-registered keyword is spoken. This product is based on a completely new perspective, recognizing keywords from the operator's speech while handling a call, and the computer itself actively displays the information. This means that operators no longer need to type keywords into the keyboard to search for information, and can obtain information such as FAQs without interrupting the natural flow of conversation with the user.
"AmiVoice Assist" performs real-time voice recognition on the PC used by the operator, supporting the operator's work while responding to a call.
It mainly provides the following features:
・Extract keywords from the speech and execute the following:
- Automatic display/launch of documents (Web, Txt, Bmp etc.) corresponding to keywords
- Input extracted keywords into search engines and other applications with one click
・Check for mistakes
・Recognizes what the operator says and inputs the text into other applications
For example, if you repeat "Your question is about AmiVoice, right?", the AmiVoice FAQ page will automatically launch, and if you make a mistake such as saying "It's fine!", it will automatically notify the supervisor. It can be used in various call centers as a tool to support and monitor operators. In addition, the recognized speech content and keywords can be entered into all Windows applications that allow text input (such as notepads and word processing software), so voice input is possible without modifying your current CTI system.
"AmiVoice Assist" supports any speaker, so even if the operator changes, it can be used immediately without any training or tuning.
