Voice Recognition TechnologyAmiVoice®Utilize
Advanced Media Corporation (Head office: Toshima-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Kazuyuki Hasegawa; hereinafter, "Advanced Media") has announced that it will develop and sell its voice recognition technologyAmiVoice®We will introduce a video distribution system linked to meeting records to the Numazu City Council in Shizuoka Prefecture, and start operation from the regular meeting in November. This is the first time in Japan that the link between the remarks in the meeting records and the video has been automated.
This system uses the time information that is automatically added during voice recognition to link with video, eliminating the need for the tedious manual work of adding time information that was previously required.
This will make it possible to make video footage of parliament linked to meeting records available to the public on the Internet shortly after the meeting records are released.
This system features the ability to select a comment from the searched and displayed meeting records and play back the relevant video from the beginning, as well as the ability to scroll and highlight the text of the relevant comment along with the video.
We will also be streaming live video of the video alone.
Live video streaming will be made available to the public from the regular meeting of the Numazu City Council, scheduled to open on November 11th, and the video footage linked to the meeting minutes will be made available to the public around February next year after the meeting minutes are released.
Since 2004, the Numazu City Council in Shizuoka Prefecture has been using Advanced Media's voice recognition technology.AmiVoice®We have introduced a meeting minutes creation support system that utilizes this technology to automatically convert statements made during meetings into text and create a record of what is said, thereby improving the efficiency of creating parliamentary minutes.
Also in 2006, we introduced a meeting minutes search and viewing system that allows meeting minutes created with the meeting minutes creation support system to be registered on an online registration screen, allowing the user to narrow down the search by speaker, period, etc., and to search for the content of comments using keyword searches, thus simplifying the release of meeting records to the public.
It is expected that the introduction of this video distribution system will significantly improve the quality of information disclosed by the Diet.
