Advanced Media Corporation (Head office: Toshima-ku, Tokyo; Chairman and CEO: Kiyoyuki Suzuki; hereinafter, "Advanced Media") has been selling the voice recognition keyboard input system "AmiVoice®Keyboard" (Price: 20 yen (excluding tax)) is being upgraded. In response to user needs, we have developed a voice recognition engine that specializes in the alphanumeric characters used in distribution codes, product codes, etc. in logistics, manufacturing, and distribution sites, and have increased the recognition rate of alphanumeric input by 20% (according to our research). As a result, alphanumeric input that was previously difficult to recognize is now easier to recognize.

This system utilizes voice recognition technology instead of keyboard input, allowing all key operations such as numeric keys, alphabet keys, function keys, and control keys to be input by voice. The input voice is output by voice synthesis, allowing you to hear it. Since the keyboard can be operated by voice alone during input work, it becomes hands-free and eyes-free, and by being able to input numbers, alphabets, etc. by voice while working with your hands, it enables efficient data input work. In addition, since voice input can be directly input into a computer, it also achieves paperless work.

By implementing this system, Trelleborg Sealing Solutions Japan Co., Ltd. has been able to significantly reduce the time required to input measurement data during precision measurement work, resulting in a significant improvement in efficiency, including a reduction in overall work time for precision measurement work by approximately 40% (according to our own research).

The details of this upgrade are as follows:

Advanced Media will promote the introduction of solutions that improve work efficiency by making work hands-free and eyes-free through the use of voice recognition technology in the logistics, manufacturing and distribution markets. Furthermore, within this fiscal year, we plan to release a package product that utilizes voice recognition technology to improve the efficiency of various tasks in the manufacturing, distribution and logistics fields, including not only inspection and testing but also picking, sorting and inventory.
