Voice data entry has standardized order entry processing and improved operational efficiency
Advanced Media Co., Ltd. (Head office: Toshima-ku, Tokyo; Chairman and CEO: Kiyoyuki Suzuki; hereinafter "Advanced Media") has announced that it has provided voice recognition technology to Wakodo Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shin Iwakami; hereinafter "Wakodo") to replace the transcription and input of fax and other order slips by keyboard. AmiVoice ® Last year, we delivered a voice order entry system that utilizes voice recognition.
Wakodo is promoting the efficiency of order processing with business partners by using EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), but some business partners still require order input processing by fax. This input processing requires operators to be fluent in product knowledge, and the workload is high. There was also a need to improve the quality of the work, such as eliminating input errors.
In this environment, Advanced Media provided Wakodo with voice recognition technology. AmiVoice ® We have delivered a "voice order entry system" that uses voice recognition to read out orders from clients and automatically creates data to be registered in the core business system. This system allows you to enter orders without having to know the products, as it can register many product names and client-specific product names (abbreviations, etc.) in a voice recognition dictionary, and is a solution that contributes to improving business efficiency by shortening work hours and reducing workload.
The features of this system are as follows:
1. Voice input and selection function
The order data processing in this system is designed so that company product data is extracted and replaced by simply reading out the supplier name, product name (including abbreviation), quantity, etc., written on a faxed or other order form, and an order slip is created. Previously, product names written on faxed or other order forms were searched and transcribed in the company's code table before being entered into the system, but since the system can process the data by simply reading out the product name as it is seen, this eliminates the need for cumbersome work using the company's code table, and is designed to be easy to use even for unskilled workers. In addition, the elimination of input operations also contributes to reducing input errors.
2. Collaboration functions tailored to business partners
The order center handles complicated management and operations, such as handling different order units for each supplier, but this system makes it possible to set this individual handling on a supplier basis. When entering values in different quantity units, the system is also equipped with an automatic quantity conversion function, so it can automatically convert bulk orders to case orders.
3. Customer-specific master management function
In the master management of this system, by linking and registering the relationship between the shipping destination and the order destination, it is possible to register and manage notes at the time of shipment. In addition to being able to register and manage product items by business partner, it also has a function that allows you to set and edit multiple names (including abbreviations) for one product.
Going forward, Advanced Media will continue to promote the introduction of systems that utilize voice recognition technology in various fields, including the distribution and retail industries.
