A first for a pharmaceutical manufacturer! Realize daily report text input using voice recognition! AbbVie LLC adopts “voice recognition browser” to support creation of sales reports

Japan's first collaboration with Veeva Systems, Inc.'s CRM realized

Advanced Media Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Toshima-ku, Tokyo; Chairman and President: Kiyoyuki Suzuki; hereinafter referred to as "Advanced Media")'s "speech recognition browser" will be used by pharmaceutical manufacturer AbbVie Co., Ltd. to support the creation of daily sales reports on iPads. I was hired by the company (headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo). This is the first daily report creation support for a pharmaceutical manufacturer using voice recognition (according to our research). Full-scale operation began in November 2013 for sales personnel.

AbbVie LLC uses Veeva CRM, a cloud CRM solution from Veeva Systems, Inc.*, on iPads for its sales activities. Keyboard operability for entering text on smartphones and tablets is inferior to that on mobile computers, so the speed of creating daily reports and the reduction in information density have become major issues. Advanced Media, which has a track record of providing sales report creation support to major beverage manufacturers, will now provide a voice recognition browser. This will be Japan's first collaboration with Veeva Systems, Inc.'s CRM using voice recognition, with the aim of further improving the efficiency of sales activities.

Because it takes time to enter information, you would have to take the time to type it in after returning to work, but if you use voice, you can input it instantly without taking the time. Since such information can be entered easily, it also improves the quality and quantity of report content.

In order to accommodate specialized medical terms such as "plaque psoriasis" and "adalimumab," we analyzed the report documents accumulated over the past year and customized a new dictionary. By using voice input, we expect to reduce input time by 1% compared to conventional methods.

Advanced Media will continue to focus on providing new solutions and customer services that contribute to operational efficiency.
