Used to create minutes of the governor's regular press conferences. Drastically reduces creation time!
Advanced Media Corporation (Head office: Toshima-ku, Tokyo; Chairman and CEO: Kiyoyuki Suzuki; hereinafter, "Advanced Media") has announced that it has developed a new voice recognition technology AmiVoice ® We have delivered a "Minutes Preparation Support System" to the Wakayama Prefectural Government, which will streamline the process of preparing minutes and documents by automatically converting speech into text using the AI. The system will go into full operation in March 2014 for the governor's regular press conferences.
In principle, the Governor of Wakayama Prefecture holds a regular press conference once a week, mainly to announce important prefectural policies. The minutes of the press conference are prepared by the Public Relations Division of the Prefectural Government and posted on the website along with the video. When preparing the minutes, it is necessary to transcribe every word of the Governor's remarks and exchanges with reporters, and the time required to post them on the website was an issue.
This time, in order to improve work efficiency and quickly provide information to the citizens of the prefecture, it was decided to deliver Advanced Media's "Minutes Preparation Support System." By utilizing this system, it will be possible to prepare minutes almost simultaneously with the press conference, which is expected to significantly reduce the time it took to prepare minutes and speed up the dissemination of information to the citizens of the prefecture.

The need for a "minutes-taking support system" that uses voice recognition is increasing year by year, as it is effective in both improving work efficiency and reducing costs. Prime Minister Abe announced at the House of Councillors Budget Committee on March 3 that minutes would be taken and made public starting with the Cabinet meeting and Cabinet ministerial conference on April 4. With the number of stenographers decreasing year by year, the demand for minutes-taking using voice recognition is expected to increase further in the future.
In December of last year, the "Minutes Creation Support System" was introduced to over 12 locations, including local governments, government ministries and agencies, and general companies. We believe this is due to the fact that our system has been highly rated for its cost-effectiveness, ease of use, and comprehensive support system, as well as our extensive track record over the 100 years since its launch.
Over the next three years, we aim to expand the adoption of our minutes-taking support system to more than 3 local governments, government ministries, and general companies, in order to provide even better services.
