Thai voice recognition IVR introduced to the call center of True Corp., a major Thai telecommunications company that ranks 3rd in Thailand's mobile business and 1st in Thailand's pay TV business!

AMIVOICE THAI CO.,LTD. (Head office: Bangkok, Thailand, hereinafter referred to as AMIVOICE THAI), a subsidiary of Advanced Media Corporation (Head office: Toshima-ku, Tokyo, Chairman and CEO: Kiyoyuki Suzuki, hereinafter referred to as Advanced Media), has announced that it has developed a new voice recognition technology AmiVoice ® We have introduced a Thai language voice recognition IVR*1 using natural language processing to the call center of True Corp. (hereinafter referred to as True), a major telecommunications company in Thailand, and it began operation on March 2014, 3. This is the first time that a major telecommunications company in Thailand has adopted a voice recognition IVR that uses natural language processing*19.

■ Background of introduction: Thailand's telecommunications market
True is a major telecommunications company engaged in a wide range of businesses, mainly in Thailand, including fixed-line telephone, mobile business, broadband services, and cable television, and is the third largest mobile business in Thailand with 2315.5 million carrier contracts*3, and the first largest pay TV business in Thailand. The telecommunications market in Thailand is growing year by year with the development of networks and the spread of smartphones, but at the same time, competition among telecommunications companies is becoming increasingly fierce, and differentiation of services and improvement of customer satisfaction through customer support are becoming increasingly important.

■ Overview of voice recognition IVR
Conventional IVRs take a very long time to reach the service users want due to factors such as long guidance and call times and a large number of options, which leads to customer dissatisfaction and a decline in the use of self-service. The voice recognition IVR introduced by AMIVOICE THAI uses voice recognition and natural language processing to understand the content of user inquiries and automatically assign them to operators in the appropriate department. Users can quickly connect to the desired service while having a natural conversation with "Mari," a virtual assistant that automatically assigns calls.
The True call center where the voice recognition IVR will be introduced has approximately 3,000 seats, making it the largest in Thailand. It is expected that the call center will reduce costs and improve customer satisfaction by increasing the self-service usage rate and reducing mistakes in transferring calls to operators with the appropriate skills.

■ Future developments: Promote and strengthen business in the Asian market
AMIVOICE THAI has been operating a call center business in Thailand since its establishment in September 2008, primarily targeting major Japanese financial companies. We believe that the introduction of the contract and voice recognition IVR system at True was made possible as a result of the company's comprehensive evaluation of our cost-effectiveness, ease of use, and comprehensive support system, in addition to our extensive track record both in Japan and overseas.
Starting with the introduction of True, Advanced Media will further promote and strengthen its business expansion in Asian markets, including Thailand, where significant demand growth is expected in the future.
