Supports statutory 12-month inspections, and improves the efficiency of inspection and maintenance work with voice input
Advanced Media Corporation (Headquarters: Toshima-ku, Tokyo; Chairman and CEO: Suzuki Kiyoyuki; hereinafter "Advanced Media") announced that its AI voice recognition engine, AmiVoice, has been adopted by Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Ikeda City, Osaka Prefecture; President and CEO: Okudaira Soichiro; hereinafter "Daihatsu") for its "Voice Inspection Result Input System."
In recent years, the automobile maintenance industry is facing an urgent shortage of mechanics due to factors such as a declining birthrate and aging population. In order to perform inspections and maintenance quickly and efficiently with limited personnel and to improve service quality, Daihatsu has adopted the AI voice recognition engine AmiVoice for recording inspection and maintenance results. By moving the system to the cloud, it can also be used for statutory 12-month inspections where multiple people work simultaneously. By using voice input, the work time per vehicle has been reduced by approximately 1% compared to creating logbooks by hand.
The "voice inspection result input system," developed using the AI voice recognition engine AmiVoice, allows mechanics to wear a wearable microphone device, "AmiVoice Front WT01," and use a dedicated tablet device to perform inspections and maintenance. Inspection items are read out in a pre-set order, and mechanics follow them to carry out the inspection. When inspection results are spoken, such as "good," "needs to be replaced," etc., the details are automatically recorded.

The wearable microphone device "AmiVoice Front WT01" is resistant to noise and can collect clear sound suitable for voice input even in noisy environments such as maintenance workshops. Because it is a badge-type wireless microphone, it does not feel strange even when worn during inspection and maintenance work.
At Advanced Media, we will continue to focus on providing new solutions and customer services that contribute to operational efficiency in a wide range of industries and business categories.
[AmiVoice Front WT01 Overview]
This is a wearable microphone that can be connected to each device via Bluetooth. The two-microphone array method blocks out surrounding noise and clearly captures only the sound from the user's mouth.
